Although all employers have a legal obligation to provide suitable resources for dealing with on-site injury or illness to their workforce, there are no specific stipulations as to what exactly that equipment or facility actually has to be.

However - the government do provide a suggested baseline of first aid essentials for a low-risk environment like an office, which we've put together as an interactive graphic below to make it nice and easy to keep your office well-prepared for any accidents.

1 Informational Sheet/Guide

Even a basic outline of standard first aid procedures can do wonders for confidence in an emergency, or offer guidance for an untrained first responder

20+ Sterile Plasters

Individually wrapped, in assorted sizes. We'd also suggest including hypoallergenic and burn plasters too, as hot drinks can easily be spilled!

2+ Sterile Eye Pads

Essentially a small round pad with an attached bandage, these specialised dressings offer comfortable and secure coverage for eye injuries.

2+ Triangular Bandages

These cloth bandages are mostly used as a sling to support an injured arm rather than as a dressing, but we'd suggest going for sterile ones just in case.

6+ Medium Sterile Dressings

Usually individually wrapped, most dressing pads are either attached to a stretchy, conforming bandage or are self-adhesive like a big plaster.

2+ Large Sterile Dressings

Featuring a larger pad and/or a wider bandage, these dressings can be applied over larger injuries and secured almost anywhere on the body.

6+ Safety Pins

Essential to secure most bandages, the humble safety pin is an often overlooked component of any first aid kit. We suggest having plenty of spares.

3+ Surgical Gloves

A hygeine essential for any first aider. We'd suggest non-latex to cover your bases allergy-wise, and an assortment of sizes.
